Licensed Animal Technician, Cambridge

A fantastic opportunity for an Experienced / Licensed Animal Technician looking to further develop their career. Candidates must have IAT Certificate or equivalent and hold a Home Office Personal License.

Responsibilities will include:

•     Daily checks of animals to ensure their welfare
•     All aspects of animal husbandry, including cleaning out, feeding, watering, mating and weaning
•     Maintaining transgenic strains to strict protocols
•     Keeping full and accurate records in accordance with Home Office regulations (includes stock and breeding records and environmental records).
•     Liaising with researchers
•     Maintaining high standards of cleanliness
•     Assisting with staff training and day-to-day running of the section
•     Carry out various experimental techniques as required, e.g. injections, vasectomy, tail sectioning and identification.
