Due to continued growth and expansion we are now looking to recruit a Licenced / Senior Animal Technician to complement our already successful team and to further build and develop the department.


Duties for this position will be to maintain the health and welfare of the animals housed. You will be responsible for the day to day running of the facility and supervising the team of technicians. Also expected to carry out a range of procedural techniques and assist training of new members of staff.

Your key responsibilities will be to; Supervise the daily work and training of staff, deputise for the Unit Supervisor, to carry out experimental procedures, measurements and observations, ensure compliance with study protocols and SOP’s, adhere to company policies including health and safety and undertake basic husbandry duties. You must be well organised and able to prioritise your work and work with minimal supervision. You should have a Home Office license and appropriate animal handling and husbandry expertise.
